Material and Construction

Outdoor covers need a coated fabric, commonly 210D to 600D polyester with PU backing. Indoor covers can be lighter, sometimes uncoated.

Seams should be sealed or taped for water resistance. The hem should be elasticated, and mirror pockets or antenna grommets need to match the bike types you stock.

Branding and Packaging

Motorcycle covers are a common private label product. Confirm the branding method, woven label, heat transfer, or printed, and where it sits on the cover.

Packaging matters: a cover stuffed into a small polybag develops permanent creases. Specify a fold pattern and bag size that keeps the product presentable.

Inspection Checklist for Motorcycle Covers

A pre-shipment inspection for motorcycle covers should cover more than the logo.

Fit test: fit each size on a reference bike. Confirm the cover reaches the wheels and that mirror pockets or antenna grommets align with common models.

Seam check: examine the seams, especially around the mirror pockets and hem. These are the first points to fail on motorcycle covers.

Typical production time is 45 to 60 days from order confirmation, plus sea freight transit. For seasonal demand, place orders at least three months before your peak selling period.

Confirm the carton weight and dimensions for your freight quote. A standard carton of covers is easy to handle, but branded packaging with inserts adds volume and cost.

Ask about split shipments if you are testing a new market. A smaller first batch with a shorter lead time lets you validate the product before committing to a full container.
